品系建立
Ldlrtm1Her 突变品系由德克萨斯大学达拉斯西南医学中心霍华德·休斯医学研究所研究实验室的Robert Hammer博士和Joachim Herz博士实验室建立。将新霉素耐药基因片段插入4号外显子后,预计可编码截短的非功能性蛋白,该蛋白不会结合LDL,并且不含跨膜片段。在品系建立过程中,使用了源自129的AB1 ES细胞系。此品系已与 C57BL/6J小鼠回交10代(N10)。
